Signpost Navigation (Care Navigation) is the process of reception or admin staff in general practice communicating effectively with patients and other individuals. The aim is to extract relevant information from patients to signpost them to the most appropriate healthcare professional for their needs.
All staff have had relevant training to from our GPs to provide signposting information to our patients.
We promise, we are not just being nosey, we need this information to ensure we are booking you with the most appropriate clinician!!
If you have an intimate or private matter that you do not wish to discuss with a receptionist, please just advise that this is a 'personal' matter and the team will bookthis in.
