Patient participation group

Hello and thanks for visiting our webpage.

We are a friendly bunch and every 2 months we meet up at the surgery to meet with the Business Managers.

Topics for discussion are varied and interesting and we get to feed back and make suggestions for improvements.

If you want to contribute, come and join us.

We are seeking patients to join our Patient Participation Group (PPG).

What are the benefits of a patient participation group?

• Patients will have a better understanding of how the surgery works
• There will be improved communication between patients and staff
• Patients will have a forum to suggest ideas and raise concerns
• Patients will be consulted about arrangements in the GP surgery before decisions are made
• Patients’ views will be represented in local health care
• Ideas of a wide range of people will be represented

The aims of our PPG are: 

• To provide an alternative communication pathway for our patients.
• To encourage patient education.
• Help themselves and other patients to take more responsibility for their health
• To contributre towards continual development and improvement at Village Surgery.
